I planted Purple Sprouting plants out earlier in the year by the handfull, and really wasn't concerned as to whether they grew or not (such was the pain and ill-health I suffered at the time) but hey, you wouldn't believe it, they are standing 5 feet tall and I never lost a single plant.......amazing!

So much for the old saying One for the Crow, one to die, and one to grow!

Heard that saying James, Dave, members?

Supposedly "Shamans" go out of body via an "Crow"... to spy on others....Haven't you seen movies like "Jason and the Argonuts" in the 50's. Word has it that they do this as crows because if they chose to be eagles they could possibly be shot by someone...or even ducks for instance...if they were any smaller bird, they'd be prey to bigger birds...so they choose crows. Land of magic I suppose. But I thought those magical movies were spectacular back in those days o fthe 50's. There really is an " golden fleece" you know...it's the mantel of golden mistletoe that climbs many old oak trees in England...and at winter solitce...if the sun shines on it...it turns looking like an fleece of gold..... and was much sought by the military/warriors... for it's healing properties. Old time myths..but some can be substantuated as to an sort of truth. As I said, I use to like to watch the movies...like the "Aladdin's Lamp"..."the Blue Rose" and most of the travels of Jason and Hercules and so forth.... hero's of the day.
