As an Engishman and a huge fan of sitcoms, i was wondering which is everyones favourite sitcom,be it American or English.

Im not going to put mine on first this time as i want to see everyones before mine.

Summer Wine and Dads Army, if classed as sitcoms, both still getting reruns and highly enjoyable

i think we have had opinions on this subject before.

i dont watch much tv simply because of the rubbish that is broadcast--what may suit one person may not suit another.

i much prefer the old american shows like phil silvers --for me that was the best along with jack benny and a few more.

the english ones i prefer are very limited -only fools and horses for one along with porridge --sorry but thats about it.--give me a western any day.Smile

when you see all these old programmes from yrs ago --then you realise how bad the scripts/writers were.

a morecambe and wise show was on a while back --what a load of rubbish they were.-for me the only funny shows were les dawson--ken dodd--the rest not worth watching.Frown

Welcome Maria.....let us all get to know you!!!  We need others to talk to also in this site...get us thinking.

I usually watch other things besides "sitcoms" for the most part...even some of those I get tired of at times.....but I usually watchtwo game shows every night....besides the news and the morning news....the game shows are Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune....and when I can catch it...the one with Howie Mandel and the suitcases, where they get to open them up...then I watch "Hunters International"...Color splash....here lately the National Geographiic "Disaster Preppers" and the rest are random as to what I run into as I have time...I like the history Channels and Ancient Aleins...The Learning Channel....an movie now and then. Much depends on the subject discussed.  I ususally listen to "coasttocoast"nightly also if possible which is on from 10 pm to 2 am...if I don't fall to sleep. Then th rest of my time goes to my earthquake sites, my radio talk show blog with Lesile, POE...and my genealogy work. That's when I'm not babysitting and doing housetype things...cooking. Rest the time I sleep or go somewhere if I can....or read books. I keep myself busy so as to say.  then there's my kitty cat....I should say kitty cats...and him and an her. He's here right now with his wiskers nearly on the computer board...she paid her respects earlier to me.
