Now the Government wants legal access to our emails and text messages!

I am sure that they have already been snooping on our emails and text messages, but can this really be right?

Why should they have access to our personal messages? Personally, I couldn't care less about what they read in my emails and very few text messages, but it's just the principal of it all.

Before long they will be installing cctv cameras in our homes, watching what we get up to, nothing more than a bunch of pervs eh? And we are supposed to live in a free society, what a b....y joke!

If we lived in China then I think we could expect this sort of nonsense, but hey, this is England 2012!

Although it is theoretically possible to analyse all the internet traffic, the sheer volume of it makes it unlikely that much will be done with the information, unless the authorities are targeting a particular individual or group. The worry for the citizen is that you will never know whether you are of interest or not. The usual excuse for government snooping is prevention of serious crime or terrorist theats, and they will say that if you are a good boy (or girl) you have nothing to fear. However, mistakes can be made in these hidden judgements, and the thought that some faceless servant of the state can randomly snoop on ones internet activity is very Orwellian.  

I heard this  the other day...private mail should be just that....and I haven't had an internet e-mail addy for about 2 years now...and I don't miss it....last time I got tricked into talking to "Annette"...she posted briefly in JIm Berkland's web site..., someone had warned me about her then in an private message....but anyway she was trying to make an "hit" on this gal named Karen, as she's an lisban I guess, lives in San Francisco...she dropped out with an excuse for talking to me... that I didn't like Lisbans (her problem she made up..though I don't have an lot in common I suppose) and she didn'T want to talk about God(begin an intutive...God has an lot of influence in my life)...but I noticed that was the weekend that... that afternoon gal hosts an talk show here, was oppostie of Oprah...can't think of her name...but anyway...blonde that dances around..anyway she got married..and is suppseodly Lisban. I was kind of wondering if she was my hubby's neice by his oldest sister...Jacquline. I last had heard she left her mid-west home and took off on her own.  Ellen DeGenerse, that was her name..I don't mind her as an talk show hostest though...but I don't have much time to watch the show these days due to other programming...like the local news. I could be entirely wrong and most likely am...this gal has an good head on her shoulders depsite her lousy problems socially....and she had her own web site ten also.  But I'm an lot like you...I'd just rather be me and then in  with any private conversations where people might want to make something out of nothing. I'm not an attention seeker exactly. they sure did work over Mayor Sam Adams also....and his sex life should of had nothing to do with his politcal life or the way he was running the city. People like him as an person and it's an shame he got his limelight tainted by an ex-male "freind" that became something of an scandel in his life. I'll tell you how well Portland takes to "Lisbons"...two were bycying minding their own business, after holding hands when they stopped....some other dudes saw them and like to beat them to an pulp for them holding hands out in public. They are still trying to find them. As for my hubby's neice, she was the oldest in the family with an lot of kids and an handicappped father...which probably was the influence in her life. We seem to have an problem these days in keeping friends....as  friends an none sexed based.  AS you get older many older women tend to be freinds with other women and have nothing of sex in mind in the friendship either. I don't like the way they handle emails on th einternet either..never have...there should be an phone number and an person to talk to if your having problems....not the dead ended run-around that they got. Not having an email addy leaves me and for that matter anyone that  has no computer....out of store coupon savings... and many contests to win things also. Most of the people I use to talk to I don't to these days.I was lucky in the geneaology department and got some of thier house addresses and we have correspondended that way though.In fact I see my friend in Norman, Oklahoma had an tornado touch down in her town last night...if she's still alive due to her age..I wonder if her church organ survived it for this Sunday's Services. She was the church organist back there.
