I take it your all unhappy with the entertainment today on TV...Ok, we got the show.."Beware of the B-----in Apartment 23" this time around for an seasonal newy...and despite the constant paryting I guess its doing well.....on American Idol...they said for the finals they had to tallly up 123 million votes for the last two contestants....so it goes to show you the people don't want an bunch stupid so called entertainment to watch as "funny". I don' t like the goofy film shows either...of people getting hurt in accidents...I didn't see anything funny about it...or anything that was embarasssing either. I watch an lot of HGTV...but it's constant shows for those with Billions and MIllions of dollars is getting pretty worn out also. Most of us don't live that way and never will. One show now an then I can handle...and every other hours dose of it and I shut the tv set off. I like shows were by people are being given an better life on an small budget, because today's economy is just that...stretching your resources to the up most dollar. Remember the room make overs for under $500 or sometimes $1,000. Remember when Christopher Lowell showed us all how to make an gaming room table and barrel chairs out of five metal 33 gallon Garbage cans...I do. Something you could probably buy these days brand new for $400 an outdoor patio funrinture. He was also the one that showed us how to make an fancy buffet table display of food by simply using paint cans with black velvet fabric on top them in layers....then put your food platters on the different layers, bigger and heavier stuff on the table, lighter and smaller platters on suceeding heights over and behind the bigger platters...on th ecovered paint cans.  I guess in short I like new ideas and less costly ideas with some Pizazz to them. I like learnign from hotel impossible and restruant impossible also. Word is keep it neat, keep it simple...and what's your specialty you can offer over others.I am today watching an motorhome show...with redicualous prices for what you get....many of them cost more the does an house and land.  We rented an 35 foot motorhome one time...for an weekend...I don't think myself I'd want to have to store such an rig daily...they take up an lot of room. We paid something like $100 an day an our own gas expenses. Sure beats having to pay twice that every month for the payment to buy something that will be out of date by the time it's done paid for....unless your in some kind of business that you can deduct the payments as an expense of the business...to me they aren't worth it to me. I'm wondering if they gave one to David Bromstead...what he'd do with it. We should get together...as I have some very unique ideas in mind these days. I've been out in them  in all situations and seen them for their best and worst at times. I do not live in my rooms in this house for what they are suppose to be..but rather..... what I want them to be. Hubby never knows what I'm going to pull off  on him next..... Makes life shall we say "interesting"?

Yes, unhappy with television entertainment Shirley if you can call it that!

The 'Hump' came second last in the Eurovision Song Contest, well what a surprise! It confirms yet again what we all know here in the UK.

The Europeans hate and detest us, but they know where to come when they want to take our work, get their health matters dealt with and have their kids on our NHS, claim benefits that we have paid into for a lifetime when they have paid in nothing, be given a home by the local Council whilst our own kids have got no chance, and are at the bottom of the pile. They get given cars, vouchers for food, washing machines, designer clothes, the latest all singing telephones that we can't afford, they invite their family over to live with them who suddenly become entrenched and it STILL goes on!

When will the politicians wake up to the rape of our beautiful country and start backing the people who made it great? It really is time for change. C'mon the UKIP or even the Brind Party!

Ron it also proves that there is still intelligent life around. Isn't it time we gave up this ridiculous charade every year. I would suggest that if we said we were not bothering with it any more a lot more countries would follow suit. I dare say we would be accused of 'sour grapes' but what the hell we're used to that aren't we???

What is stopping us pulling out of it --nothing  and who decides that we should go in to it ??  as Ron says they dont like us but they like us when any conflict arises.
