You make the point that Google could probably find the same shots Shirley so are they going to start legal proceedings against Google too? Where does it start or end, as Rick asks above. |

To use a long range lens to get a picture of someone famous doing something and then make money out of selling it to the media is, to me, disgusting. I would like to see that magazine put out of business and would also like to see all countries tighten up on privacy laws. I mean, what if I walked around my estate naked (what a horrid thought!) and someone on the hill took a picture then published it. I would be very annoyed and I am not famous. Whether they are royals or not is irrelevant, they were enjoying a private holiday and dfidn't desreve to be intruded upon. I believe that it is illegal to walk up to someone in the street and take their picture then publish it without permission. I happen to be a royalist but that doesn't matter because I would feel the same about a picture of Mrs. Obama in similar circumstances. (Or Angela Merckel for that matter.) On the other hand perhaps an attitude of "oh whatever" would make it less attractive to the cretins with cameras. An example is something that happened here a few months ago. A painter did a painting of the President with his penis on display and there were protests and threats of court action. A huge hulabaloo before someone destroyed the painting anyway. Someone then produced a Photoshopped picture of the leader of the oposition, Mrs. Zille, showing her naked. It was not her body but certainly was her head. Her reaction was to say, "gosh I wish that i did have a body like that." It quickly became history and fell out of the media. Two choices Dutchess. You decide. |

I have looked at my house and I see if I were to sunbath even on my tiny enclosed bedroom balcony, you'd see me...so I don't do it. But I agree those pesky bra lines in the skin don' t look to good for bare shouldered dresses. I think that we have to decide in life what position an person carries in society... as to what ought to be revealed to the public. AS it ruins some people's career. Take for example Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky....it didnt' help him, but it devestated her reputation. Maybe her freind "Joan" should of helped her in an different way? Why did she show up if she was so against what was going on? By the time they got done with these two people...you wondered what was going on in the White House daily because all it was daily was ranchy tabloids...of the negative kind. Forget about the running of Government. I realize that "hollywood" has always made an "scandel" for someone to bring publicity to that person...but to tell you the truth..its kind of gets" tiring" in ways. Our older actresses and actors did just as well without it. ..for their fame and fortune. We don't remeber John Wayne for his body...but his acting ability. ..and the list is many that are known more for thier talent then their body. Should we be rembering Marie Antonette for her boobs? I hope not. |

If they had said nothing the pictures would be wrapped around fish and chips, or in the trash can by now. |

To this end, I'll be meeting with Royalty in the very near future and of what images I'm allowed to take, you'll see them first here on Poe. Not saying who it is, but their title starts off HRH. When William becomes King, despite common usage of late, I doubt Kate will ever be a Queen of England. I think King's Consort might be more likely. Didn't a Mrs Simpson of Baltimore have aspirations of becoming a Queen if/when she married a king? And where were the paparazzi in 1936 when she and Edward VII were skinny dipping off an island in the Adriatic? Perhaps it wasn't newsworthy and minimal interest in the King's holiday? |

She's not an" hollywood actress" looking for sensational news photo to be known exactly. Wait until later on and she has to explain to her little kids when they run across the pictures. How is she going to tell them not to do something in public... when they have done this to her against her wishes. It's an thing called "ethics"...these magazines have none..."garbage"...and that includes the type of readers they would draw to see such stuff. Can you get your mind above your belt these days people?...Diana must be rolling in her grave by now. Just another example of why these are called.... the "end times". |
