Oh Dear Cathy,

Xmas Day was a disaster weather-wise!! Rain, Rain, and more Rain (a la English weather!!)  So the deck tables were brought inside, the lounge room furniture banished, and Xmas Dinner partaken inside as though we were were outside?!.  However, the family was together: the most important thing!  Happy 2013 to all!!!

Hi Phil! Sorry to hear about the weather but you are right. Being surrounded by family is the most important thing. I am so happy that you had a wonderful day. I spent my pretty much alone making cookie dough! Smile Still haven't baked them yet. My grandmother always made these at Christmas. They are Black Walnut Ice Box cookies and oh do they just melt in your mouth! I'm looking forward to baking them with my daughter when she feels well enough.

Wishing all a most happy, healthy New Year showered in the Lord's blessings!

I listened to 2013 predictions last night...they said weather wise to

keep an eye on January this year and October....but they said the

possible tough month to get through might be March...just said not the greatest feeling about the month in general...he was an psychic..not an astrologer.  Said worldwide... that there's still the possibilty of unrest creating war....but he also said...that now the 2012 Mayan Calendar ushers in an new cycle...and he thinks that meant the old one of war and strife will for the worse of it..possibly go away somewhat...he said though we really have until 2014 to be completely over the old effects. They are saying to renew your jobs if you can't find employment ...by services "locally" in creating your own wealth. He said people still want "quality" so it is to anything you can make with your hands...or do with them...and keep prices reasonable...you'll find your way out of many financial problems. He also cited restoring old housing will be popular in the days ahead.  Re-inventing the old ways...such as making your own slippers or  shoes...stationary shops..craft projects.....anything in food preservation..planitng gardens again..
