2012 has been a challenging yet amazing year. I met a wonderful man who changed everything for me. I got my health in order and lost 40 pounds. And from that I have a new career goal which includes becoming a naturopathic nutritionist. My kids are well and growing so fast.

So far so good! Looking forward to what 2013 brings!

So good to hear that things are going so well for you, Krissy! Shirley and I just passed the first anniverary of our commitment to a vegan diet, which has dramatically improved our overall health. I am so thankful that Barack Obama was re-elected as U.S. President! Also, I just received my official confirmation that my proposed sabbatical leave was approved--I'll be headed to northern England and southern Scotland in September to conduct research on the fortifications of the English and Scottish Marches! I also celebrate the birth of our grandson Matias Gabriel last February--such a happy and intelligent child! I celebrated my 60th birthday last may, though I feel more like 40. Shirley and I have been together now for 39 blissful years. Though the economy still sucks, I can't really complain too much.

When the public were asked how they would vote in the next election UKIP and Nigel Farage took 15% of the votes (Tory's 29%). That is a massive change for 2012. A step forward for the party and we (the Brits) are finally being listened to by a Political Party that really does care about us!
