Lol!  YES!

Worn like that model is wearing it how can anyone call it a kilt?  Besides which - culturally men wear kilts and women wear their tartans as skirts except when taking part in Highland Games & competitive dance! Think of the ladies who do the sword dances and highland fling - then they are wearing kilts!!

I'll have to find the painting and I'll email it to you, may be a couple of days, don't quite know where it is Undecided but you're more than welcome. I've got Boscastle as well, somewhere.
