  Sorry folks not right.

       When I say this person "held up" the industrial revolution I mean that this person actually prevented the progress of development and invention for his own greed.

Oh, I'll have another look into this. Time to get out the history books, much nicer than the Internet for stuff like this.

I've only got a £5 & £10 note and its not Elizabeth Fry or Charles Darwin, I think Adam Smith is on a £20 but I'm not sure, and I've never seen a £50 Undecided
