Just as a matter of interest, that's the view from the window of a holiday flat we stay at in Padstow in Cornwall.

  Dormer ( window)

                  Must say that is one splendid view to have from a holiday flat and all the facilities so close to hand. Have you ever stayed there on May the first, now that would be a spectacle - a grandstand view of   'Obby 'Oss day ?

Vince, you win with Dormer Smile

The photo was taken the day before May Day, since 1995 I think we've done 10 or 11, we normally stay in the flat for a week, then have another week or so with our friends who live a short walk away at Hawkers Cove.

 Oh , thanks Ruth. you make me green, have never seen any of the Cornish traditional days but if I had to choose one it would probably be "Trevithick Day", on or near April 26th.
