Afternoon everyone Laughing

Hope your Mum is OK Vince, mine is 84 next week, we've bought her a walking stick now just for a bit of peace of mind, watching her out walking the dog was frightening, at least now she has a bit of support.

I get to go today with hubby and see about joining an local gym..that would be nice..no more walking in the rain over winter.

It was brought to my attention that today is 6/6/(2103=6)...hum...that evil number of 666.  I'll have to think that one over. I have the city out here sucking out our street drains going one way and the garbage company going the other way picking up the weekly trash...and noise galore from the big trucks they drive...so will go for now..have an good day everyone!

I have to agree Peggy, the photos of the wild flower meadows are lovely. I see there is a campaign to try and re-introduce some of the meadows that were lost during the war years for food production. I hope the scheme works.

Well Gosh...I'm working on my yard all the time so it's as pretty as an park any day...just go outside and take it all in with an comfortable chair...as teh sun sets and stars come out.  Been hauling shovel fulls of sand this morning to get the ground a bit more even for this kiddie pool we picked up last night.10 feet round by  30 inches high...not much but will at least keep the grandkids happy hopefully. Reminds me of an big bathtub. We joined the health club, they have both an outdoor pool and indoor pool and we have unlimited hours at any of them we chose.  They have an real nice social " sideline" that includes hikes outside the facility, pot luck dinners and buses to go places..like Spirit Mountain Cascino...only $5 an person...with gas prices it sure helps. All kinds of classes..Ido mean all kinds...or an "wing it your style" if you like. I walked an bit this morning...but I think I'll enjoy this gym more when the weather gets bad. Other then that, part of me wants o lay down an relax and the other part of me wants to go some place for an change. At any rate...another weekend sneaked up on me ...so have and good weekend everyone...talk later on.

It's been a good day James, we've got the car back from its service, but we haven't got the bill yet. New cam belt, water pump, radiator - eek. Going to be expensive but at 110000 miles stuff starts to wear out, so it has to be done.

Cars are a liability in my opinion, even more so with the cost of fuel. I've had an 02 Rover Saloon up for sale for a mate of mine on another popular site for a month now, with four new tyres, 9 months mot, new brakes and new battery for £695 and noboby has even looked at it. The best of it is my mate spent over £600 getting it through the mot!

I reckon there is a one way 'last route' for this car and that we may well be peeling back 'Rover' cans withing 6 weeks!

Hi to all POEsters...

Hope you have a car e free weekend, see get that car, carefree? Ah, never mind! lol
