Peggy, if you're on an iPad here's how to clear out the rubbish that Ron so rightly points out that Google bombard us with.

Also it's a good idea every now and again to quit open apps, double click the 'home' button (the only one on the front) a row of open apps will appear in a bar on the bottom of the screen, hold your finger on the first one until a red 'no entry' sign appears in the top left of each app. Just hit the red sign on each one until there are none left, double click the 'home' button again and you'll be back to normal. Good idea to do both proceedures one a week, just gets rid of all the rubbish.

Even if you just quit the Safari app it will get rid of Googles rubbish.

There is also the possibily that you've zoomed the screen and taken a screenshot 

In which case tap the screen and hit the dustbin icon bottom right, Tom and his trunks will dissapear from your screen forever just like magic
