Hmmm nice lump of glass, but why 40/2.8 and not 50/1.8?? I've got an adaptor on the way so i can use my old Canon FD lenses on the 500d which means my favourite 85/1.8 can be used again .. hooray, an absolutely stunning lens |

Was intending though to get the 50/1.8 at that stage mainly on cost reasons but was out of stock and tried the 40/2.8 which did feel much more solid and a few quick pics I did find the 40 looking sharper. I know I have lost a bit of low light work but you cannot have everything in life. I must say going all the way to Park Cameras was an experience, after visiting over the years various shops etc and being served by people who know only how to fetch something for you and taking the money it was a nice change to have staff who knew their products and would spend time with you( and they were short staffed as well ) as well as being able to play with gear on your own camera and that went down well also. |

Only one 'proper' camera shop in town now since Jessops and Jacobs buth went under..... and they tend to have to order anything you want?? No wonder people go on line. So what is your next Find a Word ??? |
