What a lovely poem Neil, Horses are my favourite animal, we lived on a farm where my dad was horseman, he would sit up all night with a horse if it was ailing, I used to ride the shire horses in the fields when my legs were not long enough to go down the sides , that was about 95 yrs ago lol

Thats a fantastic story Peggy the shire horse would hardly feel your weight, but would treat you with great care they are a gentle creature when you to get to know them.

Our family has been involved with horses for over 50 years.

Also may I respectfully congratulate you on attaining the many years of life you must have seen so many changes.
