All my years in the Police I was called a few things but nothing beginning with K Laughing well not that I remember !!

I'm lost here but Kop, I know means terrace, but I don't see it fitting here.

OK Ruth what I am looking for in the clue ( policeman ) is the slang word Cops fit the K word to Cops and you have the answer
