Posts: Joined: 1st Jan 1970 | Charity shops may not have the latest toys such as computers and other electrical devices. Some say electrical items have to be tested first, which cost money. So electric clocks may be out but they have plenty of clockwork. There is still a place in our high tech society for clockwork. Clockwork is an amazing thing. Sometimes a quick wind up can last for days. |

Last Christmas te Good will got in an whole bunch fo new microwaves, some has chips of paint of them..but all were brand new...I got my sister one for an third of the price noramily...one I got her was the only one there, so must of been the last model available. I've bought name brand toys with missing parts and got them replaced by the manufacturer..most all of them have toll free 800 numbers to order the parts. ..One thing was where you put balls down an tube and they went every which away in patterns, dropping down an going through an lopey loop..was $60 at toy shops, bought the whole thing for $10 and bought the balls from the maufacturer for another $10. Looked brand new. Just depends on what you buy...but you can't beat the prices of other stores giving them new merchandise because they put them on clearance...and don't want to bother with them. |

That is remarkable...he didn't say how she managed to get it. But it pays to look right now for possible Christmas Gifts coming up. I shop the charity stores, I give the charity stores...but when it comes to little kids I've been known to just give them something without any strings attached. Fisher-Price is the name of the toy store that sells missing parts to toys. |
