Well there is a castle at Deal too Peggy, although I'm not sure how squiggley lines and castles go together!!

Could be Peggy, we know Vince has a tendency towards the devious Smile

But you could be right as there is a Deal Castle.

Could be the contour lines on the map surrounding the sites of the castles ?

   Well done Peggy, it is indeed " Castle". The paper and squiggley lines ( be they contours, roads or rivers ) was only a clue to let you know that you were all looking for locations. Over to you now.

I guessed that quickly because I know of Castle Acre having been there many years ago

Before in came up with 'ing' I thought of 'Ling' but I couldn't get it to fit with Aid ?

Thanks John, need to get the thinking cap on now, to be honest I'd never heard of the villages, L was the only letter I could find to link Star & Cod Smile
