They were shown sleeping on the pavement, under a few blankets and I guess these were the lucky ones. That is disgraceful in my opinion and something needs to be done to help them, but what will Cameron do about it? Answer: Most likely continue to send more of our money to every Country that is probably more wealthy than us now. Is it any wonder that Nigel Farage and UKIP will do well at the next Election? They will make things very tough for Cameron and Miliband you wait and see! |

I agree with you in a civilized world this should not happen but unfortunately it exists. If a country is unable to look after its children and its elderly population then the country has no future, for each child out on the streets, in that child's heart there is a spark of love and in a lot of the cases a survival instinct that could re-channeled and put to good use in other directions of life. There should be centers were they could be looked after, assessed and selected for their future role in society, it is no use saying it cant be done where there is a will there is a way. I found this on You Tube from Korea a boy dumped in a orphanage when he was 3 years old he was one of the lucky ones. Amongst those 80000 children on the streets of England there will be talents of varying degrees and these children should be given every chance in life. |

Ron we have to provide society with an way to live on nothing..but still have the essentials when there is no income forth coming. I do no tknow of any other way then our ancestors did over here...when they went to the wilderness frontier...they could hunt and trap their own food to eat, raise gardens, cut down trees and build cabine an be warm in the winter time.Thye grew their own animals for their hair and tanned hides and made quilts and knitted with wool. With the neighbors they could share helping each other without cost or strings attached. Is there any other way...if there is, I've never known one. Usually family does these things if others can't. Of course helping to keep down the birthing to those that can be supported helps. BTW...they didn' tjust build cabins...a lot of them lived in caves along the edge of rivers.Thing is they have to have an enviormentally suitable habit for living on. Non-GMO seeds that produce by volumes rather then by an hybrid to few. They need to know how to dry their food and game also, so it's preserved without added cost factors. Now you see why I have been watching the Native Americans for years on end and how they do things. . |

A very good question, John. I suspect a lot of the money goes in the wages of over-paid managers, company cars and expensive entertaining. I would be much happier knowing that what money I can give goes to the recipients, not to the many hangers-on in the charity 'industry'.

If it's that bad, they're the ones in control, do something about it. Take a look at our fostering laws, a child is beaten by its low scum parents so is taken away by social services but yet they can take them back if they prove to be a fit parent. How the hell does someone regain the respect of a child that is beaten and that child doesnt have a say in the matter. my brother and his girlfriend are currently looking after her cousins 2 eldest children 1 at 10 ys old and 1 at 7 and her mother is looking after the 2 youngest 1 at 4 and 1 at 2. the 10 yr old boy was asked to get the father a packet of cigarette papers for the top of the kitchen cupboard so he had to climb onto the side so he could reach, in doing so he knocked a glass off the side and it smashed on the floor so his dad beat him with a bat around the legs. hes a smashing kid who could have quite easily gone off the rails but while i was on a home visit to the north east i had 1 nd a half hours playin football with him and he loved every minute then i find out his drunken parents could get him back. WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU ABOUT THIS GREAT COUNTRY OF OURS AND ITS CARE FOR THE FUTURE |

I say give them a chance, not because of what you think you see, have read, or maybe heard, ask yourself where did the Labour Party, the Tories, the Libdems....any party for that matter, begin? They all had their party poopers no doubt (and still have them). The difference with UKIP is that Nigel Farage is saying what most of us are thinking, and that is totally the opposite to the aforementioned parties, so where from here? There is no doubt whatsoever that UKIP are going to make substantial gains at the next Election and it can't happen fast enough for me.
