  Gorthugher Da Onan Hag Oll.

Tis be a fokelore thing and a Cornish fisherman would not sail with a pasty  on board as it is feared that it would bring bad luck.

As for a pasty outside of Kernow there are some that are not so bad. The West Cornwall Pasty Company prepare pasties in Cornwall before shipping them up country to their various outlets ( our nearest ones are Horsham and Guildford ) and they past the test- that would be my daughter Lisa who is a bit choosy when it comes to the pasty. One firm favourite is Annie's Pasties of Lizard village, they are made at a residential address using what would have been the garage converted into kitchens and point of sale ( do not worry it is all done properly and looks very clean and the end result is top notch ).

Make sure you are crimped round the side- never on top !!!

Chons Da ha Oll an Gwella.
