Bah, Humbug!

Yes, I agree with Ron, it is the commercialisation of Christmas which brings out the 'Bah, Humbug!' in me. The old medieval festival in the dark days of winter was enjoyed by the poor, the wealthy and the devout alike. The old carols sum up the mixture of joy and festivity, particularly the old macaronic English / Latin verses of Make we joy now in this Fest, in quo Christus natus est..

 I thought earlier on today I wonder if Dave will be getting snowy shots this trip.

That can kind of be nice also Dave...for $3.00 and an DVD player you can buy an this "celebrate the Seasons" Disc....and it's mostly animated scenes of Christmas and every holiday of the year...but they have the soft falling snow scene, and fireplace scene, choir singing and just like you were going down the road to see Christmas lights. It's got an candle in an church that just misermizes an person also...but it's all animated...so it's soft and dreamy like to watch...just $3 of "joy"to watch late at night snuggled up in bed.
