The old medieval festival in the dark days of winter was enjoyed by the poor, the wealthy and the devout alike. The old carols sum up the mixture of joy and festivity, particularly the old macaronic English / Latin verses of Make we joy now in this Fest, in quo Christus natus est.. this is one of my favourites on Youtube (The Sixteen) |

What she really wanted to know is on what day are we doing the Christmas supermarket shop, as we normally shop on a Wednesday - for goodness sake, it's still November - and people wonder why I get cheesed off with the whole Christmas preparation madness. |

Long range forecast indicates a bit of wintry preciptation may be on the cards. That's SNOW to you and me. Not a lot but hopefully enough to enhance a piccy or two. I know there has already been snow on the hills so here's hoping.... |

Already got a few plans but all very fluid. A lot of the usual places but different light and weather etc. Apart from that just open the curtains each morning and go from there. |

It's got an candle in an church that just misermizes an person also...but it's all animated...so it's soft and dreamy like to watch...just $3 of "joy"to watch late at night snuggled up in bed. |
