WellI reckon the word must be arena, but thats about all at the moment. We may even be looking at Latin!!!!!   Where is Stephen Fry when you need him

Not sure which arena John but I think we are looking for columns and as I only know 3 i'm gonna say Ionic, Corinthian and Doric and I'll go with Colosseum co I don't know any better

Well done, you've got it between you. But I think it will have to go to Dave who actually named the columns Smile

 The first tier was decorated in Doric columns, the second in Ionian columns, and the third in Corinthian columns. When the weather was hot, large awnings were placed over the top of the Colosseum to provide shade to the many spectators. A special fourth tier at the top of the Colosseum anchored these awnings.

Oh well that makes a pleasant change ..... one of the very few things I know about historical construction

So here we go, see how long this one lasts
