I know this one because I've been to Nimes, the fabric was made there and was originally called Serge de Nimes and was shortened to Denim.

Offa's Dyke. Long stretch of linear earthwork(wide ditch and rampart) along the border between Wales and England.

I think you're  correct with Sardinia John, Sciliy is the biggest and is lovely, Sardina is next and is on the "to visit" list.
