Vince Hawthorn Posts: 12758 Joined: 19th Apr 2010 Location: UK | Posted at 23:16 on 22nd September 2014 Yup, as a kid I could hear the sleepers rattling on a bailey bridge from my bedroom, it was at the bottom of what is now called Young Street but was also known as the Canadian Road as it was built by Canadian engineers in the war and was still being used during the 60's. Due to the noise of the sleepers we always called it the " Bang Bang Bridge" |
