  Well he has found the correct word although I had thought of it in another context. I think we must award this one to Neil, the word is "Dirty" as in car as well as wall.

Well done Neil, I'd inspected the car but never noticed the dirt, it's probably because our normally looks that way 

  A lesson there maybe but old habits die hard.

There's a cricket player on that weather vane, the only cricketer I can think of beginning with the letter D is Dickie Bird, but I can't see it being him
