I have seen the old boy referred to as Philleas and Phinneas but either way that is indeed the answer. He has been hanging over that rail for quite a number of years- bet he has seen a few folk over that time. His mate Fogg sits on a bench by the slipway on the feock side , and a few years ago although discretly held in place by chains and locks Fogg was abducted. I am pleased to say he is back on his bench but do not know if he is original or a replacement.

I have a monochrome shot of Philleas that is on the front of the dry cleaning machine and so many customers think it is a shot of a real old Jack Tar.

Well done Ruth- hope I escaped the rope.

You did escape the rope Vince, and I should have known it ages ago, it's not that I haven't been on the KHF and seen him.

I will be back tomorrow, oh it is tomorrow, I'll be back later today Smile
