When did all the fun go out of tennis, bring back Ilie Nastase I say. In fact when did all the fun go out of most sporting events |

Our road is shut for 18 hours, in fact the whole village is shut for 18 hours. All cars have to be gone off the roads by midnight tomorrow, and are not allowed back until the race organisers say so. I'm not at all interesting in cycling, I can barely ride one so we're going to the Western side of the Yorkshire Dales out of the way of all the madness. Hopefully to enjoy the lovely peaceful scenery. |

The powers that be think it will bring such good things and profit for local traders, the word round this way was that most small businesses ended up losing and not gaining from all the chaos. If you happen to be a cycle addict then I am sure it will be an exciting occassion but for most folk it just means total disruption. Make the most of it and enjoy your escape. |
