I remeber when "Benny Hill" took us by the storm on this side of the pond.So outlandish...you had to laugh. Been years since then.

In my opinion 'Mammy' (Mrs Brown) is a cross between Benny Hill and Les Dawson (but a whole lot more rude) I guess Shirley.

Two great entertainers and yes if you can see it online for example I think you will enjoy it also. That said, you may have to watch it a couple of times to get used to the Irish accent.

Great stuff!

I liked Les Dawson but I can't stand Benny Hill, but I'm willing to watch and see what I think.

I did say a cross between them John, but in reality it's very different I guess (with a lot of swearing) but you do have the off button on the remote.

I suspect the biggest problem you will have will be the accent Ruth, which somehow makes it even funnier. We watch the episodes twice to pick up on some of it, but funny, funny, funny!

I posted a clip on FB the other day he is fantastic with his timing and delivery, laughter feeds the soul and is one of the best tonics known.
