Arithmetic     45 years ago I last use any of that rubbish ..... and I failed my O-level maths before you start ... I hated maths

  Log -Tables.

                     Anyone remember using them prior to all the calculators? When I first started as a surveyor in 1969 we had to compute traverses  with log tables to 9 or10 decimal places, then basic calculators started to come in and a simple one back then was about £50.

Algebra      What use was that!!!!

You can get an all singing all dancing calc now for a fiver ... if not less

 Equations.

          I know , but that was cutting edge in them days. the scientific calculators with polar <-> rectangular  coordinate conversions was would have been at least £250.
