Just seen this very sad story about a nine year old girl in the States accidentally killing her shooting instructor with an UZI sub-machine gun.

BBC News Report

The relaxed attitude to firearms in the States causes amazement here in the UK.

It is a very sad story, even sadder is the fact that the parents of the child feel the need to send her to learn to fire such a weapon at nine years of age. You have to ask, what on earth were they thinking of.

A nine year old with an Uzi, I sometimes think the US have gone mad. I despair when I see young children on TV in the war torn countries in the Middle East firing guns into the air, as if they have any idea why or what they are fighting for. I thought parents in the US might have had a bit more common sense but obviously not. An Uzi is hardly the sort of firearm that you're going to practice with to take part in future Olympic Games shooting events is it ?

No way can you justify allowing a nine year to do this.

That's not true...the Sandy Hook killing was caused by an parent/teacher allowing firearms and agression and ill well into her house way before her son took the issue to school. Some people even say these days these are planned police events to cause the funds not to have to be paid back to the public. Why did that woman cause trouble to begin with...it's her son that has to pay the price of it all.  Someone needed to look into why she felt she needed to be defended so greatly against others. Plus I think much of this is an program of being mind controlled to by the miitary sector or police. Things like Ferguson, Missouri come to mind. I told you that the problem is not going to go away by not allowing the right to bear arms..if we are lucky while they are out killing us, someone will put this all to the end by killing them. But then that person is indeed in trouble.Trying to tell others an teacher has an real nasty mental problem is like trying to tell an doctor he don't know diddy squat ....when he doesn't.   An "Shrink" on every corner..that is what they want... to stuff thier pockets full of cash for that high priced new car, that vacation somewhere...that second home at the expense of others. Attention/drama..disgusting. WE get fed on it all the time, movies, TV, electronic games, newspapers, etc.

You think the US is having problems have you heard about the Canadian woman that stopped her car as some ducklings were in the merdian...to pick them up an put them in her car to take home..an man on an motorcycle..driving 20 miles over the speed  (80 MPH) limit with his 16 year old daughter ran smack into her car...his wife was behind them driving slower...she made it there to have her husband die in her arms, the daugther went under the car...she died later at the hospital...the lady was convicted..".but not by intent"...she gets to spend the rest of the her life in jail...the court proceedings was packed with people feeling that perhaps she wasn't all that wrong in what she did to lose the rest of her life in prison....and here we have an law that says the guy driving behind is repsonsible to see he doesn't hit the car ahead of him for any reason. She was arragned in court on Aug 8th for scentence...I wonder what justice was served through all this ordeal..the woman said she didn't see any mother duck with her ducklings...maybe it had been killed by an car earlier?. Her tears can't heal things right now...even though they look sincere.

No she shouldn't have had the gun in the first place, and that's that. I'm sure you agree with me John.
