I think Ken will agree with me when I say that Australia has most of the worlds poisonous snakes, and spiders. The worst that happened to me over there was I got a leech in my boot and it helped itself to a good pint of blood out of my ankle. Didn't know it had taken up lodgings until I got back to the hotel to find my sock covered in blood. |

Antivenin or antivenene supplies are readily available at hospitals and the appropriate first aid is widely publicized.Some of the snakes in Sri Lanka are more aggressive than the ones in Australia. |
