Edward Lever Posts: 734 Joined: 22nd Dec 2005 Location: UK | quotePosted at 12:36 on 26th March 2015 I must admit to having been amused in the past by some of Clarkson's tongue-in-cheek jibes, aimed at the politically correct brigade, who always made the mistake of taking him seriously. Sadly, he has now shown himself to be too much of a dinosaur, taking 'laddishness' to a level which is not acceptable in the modern workplace. Clearly the BBC had no option but to sack him for resorting to physical violence, since in any organisation I know of, this would be construed of as Gross Misconduct, resulting in summary dismissal. As for a replacement, it would be interesting to see Nigel Farage hosting the show, perhaps from his local.
