As for macro lens, if you are really into close-ups, then there's really nothing like a dedicated macro lens when it comes to handling and image quality.

I have seen your web site, and your close ups and WOW! I have loved the results I've gotten from my little point and shoot using the macro setting, so it really is something I would like to explore in the future. I hope everyone here has taken the time to check out your website, your pictures are jaw-dropping. |

By the way you can now see me in all my gory (that's not a typo) for the first time. Blame Paul: he advised me on the best size for an avatar, and I followed his advice. There ay be a better pic of me somewhere - with a bag over my head - but until I find it this wil have to do.

I take pics for a commmuniy newspaper, and by the time you reset the camera for different lighting conditions etc. the pic may be gone. The easy way works for me! Not that I mind doing things the other way, I've always gone out of my way to make life hard for myself!
