She is 14 and very interested in photography. She is taking classes in school this year in photography and editing. I think she really has a talent for it. I wish I could show the pics but they are on my cell phone!! What would be the best camera to start with? Any ideas are welcomed! I'd like to start looking (and saving $$) soon! Thanks so much! |

I really have no clue what would be best. She did ask for a Poloroid camera!!! I said no. Just point me in the right direction and push! LOL! |

Most of my pictures on here are taken with that one and the macro is wonderful. I think it cost around $415.00 about three years ago on Amazon.

They are getting really cheap now for quite a good basic digital camera. I think it's worth having a good make though - Nikon,Pentax, Canon, Fuji - one with a good lens. My 1st camera was a Polaroid when I was 7, then I had a Kodak Instamatic and then I had my 1st 35mm camera the Pentax K1000 when I was at art school. It depends what she wants to do as Jason said. |
