That's a great picture Andy!

Thanks Sue for picking my fungi picture. I really appreciate it! I called it Fairy House for a reason. When my sister was little there was a "Fairy Ring" - a circle of toadstools in our garden. Mom said stand in the middle and make a wish and she said "I wish for a great big pig!". Next day my Dad found an escaped pig in our garden eating flowers. He chased it down the road and into Haden Hill park! It is one of our family stories and the moral of the story is be careful what you wish for it may come true!

Thanks Sue. Mad world isn't it? In 35 years of bird watching, I've never seen one....until today, and then I go and see three. Plus 1,000 plus lapwings, 100 plus goldfinches, 20 or so bramblings, a marsh harrier, a kestrel and a hobby. I love this time of year!

Incidently, I took pictures of the lapwings, goldfinches and bramblings, but as they were in a flock they're a bit distant. Oh, and a redshank too!!

You're too kind!! Now the butterflies and dragonflies are a rarity I think I might concentrate on the birds a bit more....and I want to get a picture of a sneaky stoat at the wetlands too....he always runs when I try to get a picture of him!!

You are going to submit them to POE, right? I bet they are great views, even if the birds are in the distance.

I'm so homesick right now guys, my belly aches (it's suppose to be a heart ache, but I found the pain is more in the diapragm area).
