Microsoft Picture It is probably mainly of use adding lettering to pictures, inserting artistic frames and doing simple repairs, ie cloning. I had this on my old computer but the disc wouldn't work with the "new toy" so I now stick with Photoshop and Paintshop. I think that Adobe Elements might be worth a look given the reasonable cost. Good luck.

Thanks Rod-there's so many programmes on the market that ii is good to get advice from everyone here who have actually tried the software, some of which doesn't live up to the 'blurb'.  Picture it does lots of things-maybe because I use it so much on my XP computer, there's all sorts of excellent features on the programme.  Thanks for the advice Rod-great to meet you

Thanks Marianne,

Last time I priced "Picture It" it seemed quite a bit more than Elements, but it has been a while since I lost Picture It so it could be more advanced now. Why does it all have to be so complicated!

I use XP and it suits me fine. There's something new afoot I hear from Microsoft.

The best 'freebie' going.

A bit more complicated than some, but the re-touching and colour picking is excellent.

Crikey-I have downloaded gimp and it's totally different to any other programmes I have installed.  I have tried some of the effects and it's brilliant.  I'm really going to enjoy getting to grips with it because as you say Robert, it is quite a complicated programme!

That is truth.Gimp is really good program but complicated.I've got as well but after few times I stop using them. That's why I prefer Photofiltre. Is actually the same class of program but not that complicated.

Choice is yours Marianne Wink.
