lancashirelove Posts: 1986 Joined: 18th Feb 2009 Location: UK | quotePosted at 10:32 on 12th May 2009 we are fast aproaching the time in England when the fields turn to lush green and the gold of oil seed rape plant, meadows start to display their wild flowers of all shapes and colours, the bluebells are on the turn, wild garlic and hawthorne blossom have replaced the fading apple blossom, the trees are fresh green in colour and almost in full leaf and yes the sun is shining, sometimes from 4 in the morning 'til 10 at night, its cameras ready. lol this time always reminds me of the 'Sting' song 'Fields of Barley' (though we are a couple of months from gathering in the barley crops yet.lol). |

I am usually in England in May for those very reasons, and now it looks as though I won't be in England at all this year. Still, I'm off to Ireland with hub, for our 25th, so must count my blessings. |
