Hi Ruth.  I was born in the West Riding of Yorkshire, but moved from there when I was only 18 months old!  On my last trip back to England I did a week's "whistle-stop tour" of places associated with family history - Colne Valley area in Yorkshire (took a day off to drive round the dales and historical Abbey remains, etc.,) but then had to rush off to Cheshire, so there was no time for looking around unfortunately.  But I know that one of your favourite places is Yorkshire and I can't say that I would argue with you.

Hi Cathy, nice to see you.  Yes, it's beautiful there, just down the road a piece from Whitby.  That whole coastal area along there is just gorgeous.
