I really think Christmas is fun when you have small people around, then there seems to be some point in the decorations and jollity.  Otherwise it is so like any other public holiday (except for the religious connatations).

You're not wrong there Cathy. I would  much rather work it and have the time off when I want it. But how many people these days understand the allegedly 'true' or 'real' meaning of Christmas ..........very few.

It is such a shame that many don't celebrate it for what it really means. It's all about LOVE! God loved us so much that he gave us his only son. It couldn't be any clearer than that. Celebrating it means that we are to love others as God loved us and to be charitable to all. My favorite part is being charitable! I love to give joy to others. It always gives me the same joy back!

I'm looking forward to the holidays. Smile

I'm with you, Cathy.  As I get older, I'm finding that you can enjoy Christmas without the frenzy.  It's simply a choice, and of course, to each his own.

Dave, surely Christmas will be fun for you with your grandson, won't it?  I only wish I had some little ones around to celebrate with.
