The Six Hills is a 2000 year old burial site. The new town part of Stevenage was built after WWII. What to see in Stevenage: Modern Clock & Fountain, Stevenage Museum for local history, Boxfield Gallery for contemporary art and Fairlands Valley Park. Nearby one can visit the Cromer Windmill, the last post mill in Hertfordshire and Knebworth House. STEVENAGE (Old Town) Picture by Martin Colgan. Polecat Photography

Here you can visit the Royal Palace of Hatfield, circa 1497 and the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I and New Hatfield House built by Robert Cecil around 1607. In addition the Mosquito Aircraft Museum, Wildfowl Trust and Paradise Park may be explored.
