There's nothing I like better than a picture of a country church taken from across the field.

Great job, Syd!

I have seen so many pictures, where my first thought is 'that is quintessentially English'; so I thought I'd start a new picture thread.

These pictures can be anything from a country scene, to a picture of a tea shop. Whatever strikes you personally as being quintessentially English.

Is there any place on earth that gets this beautiful vivid green during the early spring?

Don't tell me this can be found (authentically) in any other country than Great Britain.

This is the kind of scene that makes my heart ache for my homeland.

I could drink this in like medicine and all would be well with life.

I'm nothing if I'm not consistent.

I saw this picture on the scroll bar an had to enlarge it. My first thought was "Only in England" then I read the comments and saw that my comment in 2008 when this was posted was "Only in England"

I just thought that was very amusing.
