Even though some of us found the subject matter interesting and possibly disagreable to our tastes, it certainly was still a Picture of England and thus belongs here on POE. I guess I need to me more sensitive in my choice of thread matter in future, as I certainly do not mean to upset anyone. |

It made a great talking point and was an excellent interior shot of something very unusual. Victor if you are reading this thread - please put your photo back on POE! |

He had some lovely thoughts about why it should not have been there. I have replied to him and aksed that he reconsider and resubmit the picture. Edited by: Sue . at:29th March 2012 21:08 |

In all honesty I can't see a major problem with it. I think it is an excellent image and certainly different and obviously the sculpture has been made to make people think. If it has got people talking in the wider world, like it has here on POE, the artist has succeeded in what he intended I think.I don't see anything disturbing about it at all, i think a lot depends on the viewers religious beliefs to which I have to admit to a total void. The church has obviously accepted it although what connotation they put on it I shudder to think |

Another artist, Sarah Lucas, added the marrows ( Harvest Festival connotation?) that are on the altar. I think Victor's scene he took needs to be looked at in its entirety.
