I have it in my little mitts right now.  It's a Samsung Digimax V700.  Can anyone tell me anything about it?  Is it any good?  My neighbour seems to think so, but she's now got a Canon.

I've been told to just set it to auto and take pictures, so I assume this will be okay to start with.

I now really want to photograph something.  But it's raining and it will get wet and there isn't much to photograph around here.

At the weekend I will give it a proper airing and take a picture of the sea or something.

I am so excited.

Go Debbie.....yeah! lol

I can't tell you if it's any good or not, but I'll bet others will be along soon that can. Setting it to Auto is a good bit of advice, it means it's idiot proof, honest! Ha, ha, ha...

Where are you Paul, Dave, Vince or anybody else that can answer Debbies question?

Thanks Mick

I've managed to find the site, by right clicking your link and then clicking 'go to'.

The write up sounds really good, considering it's a first camera and a 7 year old model.  Must admit I don't know how to use any of the functions listed and I don't have a manual with it.

I suppose it will be a case of learning as I go.  But for the moment the top button is set to auto and I've managed to take some fairly decent family photos.

I reckon you had a bargain if you only paid £15 for it!

What a great neighbour you have.............a member of the POE family no doubt for that sort of kindness.

Yeah!  Way to go Debbie!  Auto will automatically do all the settings for you, just check the focus in the viewfinder to see if you are too close or too far away!

Here is a free downloadable manual for your camera too!
