NT do require a property release unless you are submitting the images to their photo library. It is the same with a lot of privately owned buildings. As long as you are on public land though they can't really do anything Some pictures of buildings require a property release to sell them, or to list them on stock agencies you can sell any photo taken in a public place (or from a public place/right of way). I'm not sure what the rules are when people can be seen in the photo though. Private land (such as an NT property) is different and the owner can place any restrictions they choose. |

Rod, clearly in the context of your question the owner of the copywrite to a photograph is the photographer so that's where the responsiility lies. At least that's my take on the question given the info I have read so far, but then as you indicated common sense is not as common as perhaps it should be |

I think this is a great Idea, so firstly thanks for setting this up, I may well try my luck, but I was wondering if POE benifits from any sale, as I would be happy for a proprtion of any sale from my pictures to go POE for providing the service |

A handful of my slide photos were used on it, this being one of them. On Poe here too, as you might also find. After reading their terms of submission, no futher images were ever sent to them bar one taken for presenter Anne Diamond's blog a short time ago, which she used for her first posting on it. A photo of Thatcham. A credit alongside the news one about the canal wouldn't have gone amiss. Currently also on their home page as a lead-in to the story.
