That is a rather disappointing percentage at the moment, but we are heading for the end of the month so I am sure a lot more members will be in a position to assist in keeping POE up and running.
Maybe Chris and Sarah will follow up the initial request for help with another mailshot in a couple of weeks time?

When a numerical list is compiled I would suggest that the majority of people would want to be at, or near the top. It's human nature after all.

The membership list now starts with the Gold Star Premier members. When it first changed to this system a few days ago, I was in the top 10 but now I am at number 79.

That said, I would be a lot happier if I was way down somewhere between 1000 - 2000 or even lower! So come on all who are still deciding or waiting for payday. Make your donations to POE and keep me being relegated on a daily basis.

Remember, the lower I go, the better the chance of success for the website. So please do what ever you can to help me get near the bottom of the list, no matter how small your contribution

Me too Dave.  But I want to be # 5000 because that would mean POE can cover the immediate problem and make plans for the future.

We don't want POE hanging on by the skin of their teeth but to grow and thrive.

POE members - please do your bit NOW so that POE will survive into the future.

Could this thread be highlighted in RED so that the eye is immediately drawn to it?  Just a thought.

I think that is a great idea Marjorie.

Perhaps all the ones covering the current situation could be highlighted in red or bright colour. Maybe the blue again to match the Premier Membership button.

A decision for C&S ladies, who are watching the threads, as well as trying to keep their head above water!

May I suggest BRIGHT RED not just cos it's bright and eycatching, but also signifies DANGER ! ! ! The danger obviously that POE could disappear despite all our efforts.

POE has more than 12,000 members now, and 91 have made a donation!

12000 members!!! 92 Premier Members at last view ? ? ? plus whatever other donations have been received. The mailshot by Chris and Sarah obviously had an effect as the membership almost trebled the next day but seems to have slowed down. Some people get paid on the last day of the month so lets hope for that.  We are getting new members daily who maybe don't uinderstand the significance of the various headings for donations. So maybe a more brief version of the mailshot should be considered on amore regular basis. As I said previuosly if it gets more members donating (irrespective of how much) I for one would be quite happy to see it in my inbox however regularly until the site is out of serious danger. Just an idle glance shows it fairly evident that a lot of members do not enter into the forums. I agree with suggestion from Cathyml in response to Ron's 'Dirty Washing' thread.although it will mean a lot more programming work!!! Free access for general browsers, fairly obvious a that gets them interested, or as was with me....hooked. Then a 2 tier membership say £5.00 for general quite limited access and the £15.00 Premier for full access. Again this will mean a lot programming work for Chris and Sarah. £15.00 is the aim, but £5.00 must be better than nothing.

I hate rambling on but we just gotta start pricking a few more consciences somehow.

It's certainly old, probably as grey as my hair and as long I continue to wake up every morning breathing...it matters
