I think that in order for anyone to assist you in this quest you will have to give us some more information. Do you know where and when any of them were born? What their occupations were or names of wives? |

It appears that they both died between January & March in 1854 in Montgomery (possibly Cwmyrhyslog). I have tentatively picked up another possible son Abraham who was christened 24 April 1831 in Bettws Cedewen Montgomery. John was christened 28 Jul 1816 Bettws Cedewen Montgomery. Maybe more later. |

Edward is listed as Wheelwright/Carpenter I think in 1851 John Mills is listed as a widower born 1816 Bettws. His occupation given as an agricultural labourer/gardener. In 1851 it appears that John married Sarah Pursell and they appear to have had 9 children all born in Welchpool. William born 1853, Pryce/Price born 1855, Elizabeth born 1858, Margaret b 1861, John b 1863, Alfred b 1865, Mary Jane b 1867, Thomas b 1870 and Ann b 1874. |

Ggggrandfather was John and great grandfather was Alfred who died in 1922 and is buried in Welshpool cemetery. He married Alice Fletcher in 1888 and they had 7children, May 1883, William 1889, Lily1895 (my grandmother), Edith 1896, Dolly 1898,George 1901 and Douglas 1904. As children they all lived in Welshpool and my grandmother tells me her Dad, Alfred was head gardener at Powis Castle and Alice was the local midwife. My nan Lily married an Australian soldier, of Irish heritage, on 5 June 1919 and came out to Australia, Bathurst N.S.W. on the bride ship " Ceramic" arriving 3 October 1919 . in 1921 my mother Edna May was born. I am a long way from Welshpool and only beginning my research. I was thrilled to find your information. |
