My name is BeaMuffin and I live in Muenster in the west of Germany not far from the Dutch border. I'm 51 and work at a university.England has been my favourite country for many years and I try to get there at least once a year. In August I came for a landscaped gardens tour with my daughter who reads art history and in September I went to Bowness-on-Windermer and York with my husband. I love to read English crime fiction and my monthly BBC Good Food Magazine, while listening to classicfm -it feels a bit like being in England! And of course I like to take pictures! In 2006 I contributed some I took on the Isle of Wight and in Bornemouth.

Hello BeaMuffin

What about the recent 'Lewis' programme based in Oxford, are you able to pick it up? It's another Colin Dexter gem!! By the way, welcome to a fantastic website, and again I ask why haven't the POE members ganged up on you, to welcome you to this forum and site? I bet it will happen now though! C'mon members where are you?

Guten Tag BeaMuffin,

We've had two marvelous short holidays in Berlin and loved the place. Whilst there we managed a great day by the wonderful lake at Wannsee on the beach braving the cool lake for a very quick swim. I also spent some time through work in Cologne and Saarlouis and really enjoyed being there too.

Last time I was in the Isle Of Wight was when I was five and we went there by paddle steamer. Didn't take any pictures then I'm afraid!

Welcome to this great site.
