Christmas Time

My name is Anne and I live in Witney in Oxfordshire. I am lucky in that I believe where I live to be very beautiful.

It would be very nice, if people from all over the world took pictures of their home town and posted on here,

I would enjoy seeing all the different ways people decorate for Christmas.

I live in Wheatley, probably 25 miles away from you and agree with your comments. Lets face it people go over the top sometimes, but often in the name of charity, so more power to their elbow I say! Welcome to a great site. C'mon POE members wheres the 'welcome' lillian?

OK Ron, I didn't realize that you actually live in Wheatley. I'd love to know where, though I won't ask you to post such personal information on the board. We have a bungalow in the village that is just about sold, so my staying in Wheatley has come to an end, but I will still visit as my cousin lives up at the Windmill.

Oh and Lilian (I LOVE the name Lilian as my dearest, most beloved aunt was Lilian), Witney is a beautiful spot, my 'dad' was a fishmonger on the market and he did Witney every week.

Thank you for making me welcome. I am not the best photograher in the world, but I do like to go out and about where I live. I am quite often by the lakes on a Saturday or Sunday. I believe I am quite lucky to live in a lovely place
