Diana, we all know that Peter is barking....mad that is, so where's the benefit in labouring the point? And in fact I think I did pick up on this a long, long time ago. Yes, it was that obvious from the start!

Hi Denise

Penrith is on the top side of Cumbria, I'm down on the bottom end of Cumbria.  I'm about an half hour from Coniston.

I don't really go to the lakes that much, too many people in summer.  I tend to go up there at the back end of the year. A nicer time to go.

The camera doesn't lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome Denise, I'm sure you will enjoy this wonderful site, and conversing with all the POEts here, it's great fun. I lived by the sea for 38 years (Portsmouth) and I've got to say I loved it. Now I live by the Humber estuary so I have kept my marine connections.....the salt air is great but the Shy torques are not so good, the messy devils. Anyway, have fun, I know you will!
