I swear they sit up day and night now just to beat me, but the proof is in the pudding as they say! I am fairly and squarely beaten even though I tried to steal a Brownie point whilst posting my welcome to Richard. (Failed miserably though). Even Ana beat me, and she cant speak 'propper' English 'like wot I dus'. I notice you mentioned Oxford, Horton-cum-Studley....did you know that is where C. S. Lewis spent many a weekend with his wife Joy at the Studley Priory Hotel. I operate C. S. Lewis Tours here in Oxford www.cslewistours.com which may interest you. Anyway Jac, WELCOME to the madhouse, it really is a great website for lots of different reasons....maps, attractions, pictures of course, cheaper online hotel bookings, England's history, famous Brits, and well the forum! Most times funny, really funny when Peter gets going and even more funny when the women fire off because they never know what they are talking about! Thinks....that'll wind up Jac, get her on the trail a bit quick! Anyway...enjoy!! |

Often your response is making us laugh because it really is funny as you apply a sentence in English. For example you write: I think it will go slowly to better understand Ron. Whereas we might say: To better understand Ron, I think I need to take things more slowly. No doubt Peter will write, you've got no chance because not even WE understand Ron!! There, said it for you Peter. Anyway Ana, you're lovely but it's about time you got rid of the sketch of the young woman in your avatar, and put a real photograph in place! We want the REAL ANA!! |
