I'm 62, and work for an international company in Customer Relations. I love to take photographs when I travel and England is one of my very favourite destinations. I try to visit every couple of years and will be going again next week for one month. On this occasion I will stay in the Lake District, Suffolk and Ely as well as shorter visits to Warwickshire, Shropshire and Lancashire. My favourite things about England are the short distances between stunning places, the large numbers of old buildings, the beautiful countryside and your superb country pubs. I've posted a few photos here from previous trips and, weather permitting, plan to post more from my next trip. My other favourite photography subjects are the Fall foliage in USA/Canada and the magnificent scenery in the South Island of New Zealand. I'm also a wildlife photography nut and have taken many thousands of photos on several amazing trips to Kenya, Zambia, Namibia and South Africa. Of course, Digital enables us all to give free rein to our creativity and I've been using Digital for three years. I use Canon equipment exclusively and have 2 Digital SLRs, as well as a couple of point and shoots. I came across POE when I was looking for photos of Finchingfield, Essex and had Googled "Pictures of England". I'm so glad I did, as there are some seriouly talented contributors to the site. It has already given me a great deal of pleasure and I've hardly scratched the surface! OK, that's it from me. Now I wonder who will be the first of the regulars to welcome me to the Forum. Go for it, guys!
